If you're not prepared, air travel can be tough. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks for a worry-free start to your holiday in Mount Charleston. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome travel experience is to pack in advance. So, let's start with the basics: passport, travel docs, cash and medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you entertained, like some electronic devices or a few magazines. You'll also want to bring your chargers, a comfy neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, don't forget to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, lip balm and a clean T-shirt.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by wearing layers, and pick flat, easy-to-remove footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
