Loved the villa ,breakfast chaotic lowlife of foods and areas dirty and unkempt.Tiles in pool were broken and general and areas not maintained including standing areas for pool showers .Nothing is jet cleaned around pool .Pool is however large and we loved it .The area in front of the bar is filthy ,weeds and nobody clears tables or empties rubbish .The area where the egg station is has upturned old furniture and things just stacked there and again dirty floors .The housekeeping staff were lovely but restaurant staff lazy and no signs of Happy Hours or promotions .This place has no visible management which is ridiculous it needs to be lived and could be great with care and attention .There is no beach in front you have to walk around the corner and that’s nice there.I have read a lot of previous comments and it does not look like any attention is paid as nothing improved and that’s careless .

This hotel complex was a dream for us. We had great rooms with a view of the huge pool area and some with a view of the ocean. Everyone tried very hard. The departure by minibus and speedboat to the island of Koh Samoui could also be booked at reception. In the surrounding area - less than a 3 minute walk - there were 2 excellent restaurants. We 3 families will meet again. Thanks to the whole team.

Belle chambre très spacieuse et bien équipée. La plage de l'hôtel n'est pas fabuleuse, il faut aller sur la plage de l'hôtel d'a côté. La vue est cependant très jolie sur l'ile d'en face. La piscine et le restaurant pour le petit déjeuner sont sous-dimensionnée. Il y a une 2ème piscine mais elle semble mal entretenue. La piscine principale est par contre très sympa.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The room and resort is per photos. The pool area is wonderful and the location of the resort although quite remote is good. Only issue we had is that the neighboring beach has some wild dogs on in and during one of our visits to the beach the dogs savagely attacked each other.

Rooms were nice , property was well maintained and there was plenty of helpful staff. Understaffing was not an issue like in many places these days.

Ett bra hotell med medelbra service och standard. Vackert beläget i närheten av en fin strand som inte är allt för överbefolkad. Helt ok poolområde. Maten på restaurangen är vad man kan förvänta sig av ett medelklasshotell varken bra eller dåligt. Tyvärr stank det mögel på vårt rum och hotellet var fullbokat så vi fick stå ut.

Super Lage für Schnorchler:innen. Rollerverlei vor der Tür und damit die gesamte Insel schnell zu erkunden. Sehr freundliches Personal (leider manchmal mit begrenztem, englischem Wortschatz) und saubere Unterkunft. Strand vor der Tür. Mehrere Restaurants um die Ecke.

Fantastic staff and hotel, not the best location.
Amazingly friendly staff! It was the best part of our stay. Fantastic gardens and huge pool. Not the best location and the standard rooms are ok, but the beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Food overall is good and reasonably priced. Disappointed that the beach bar restaurant was closed and was not advised in advance of our stay. There is nothing really close by to chose from either. The beach was a little disappointing and not what we expected for snorkeling. The surroundings are really beautiful with lots of trees and birds. The hotel itself is very clean and has great service but the location overall was not what we were looking for, but thats personal preference.

Nice hotel but a bit overpriced for what you can get around the island. Quite a long wait for food from the restaurant. Nice big pool but had tiles missing which cuts feet.

Could be so much better
This hotel is one of the best I have been to in Thailand. The staff is very good and observant, the standard is good and it has a marvelous location. However, due to some incidents, I can't give it the grade it deserves. To start with the aircon in our room did not work properly and we complained four times before we were upgraded to another room. Twice the aircon started to shoot ice on us in the bed. Not a pleasant experience, but the worst thing was the totally hopeless manager of the breakfast restaurant. She doesn't understand what good service is and seem not to be interested to correct things for the better, maybe because she is a relative to the owner. We complain that the breakfast was getting poor if you came late. Some items were never filled after it was finished. When confronting the manager about it she said it was because my wife ate it all!! True, my wife loves watermelon and she ate more than an average customer, but you can't say that to a paying customer! We asked her to apologise but she refused, hence this poor review fro us.

10/10 after 3 weeks and 7 hotels in thailand was Mae Haad Bay Resort by far the best. Staff, Room, Pool area and Bar, Breakfast and Beach. Everything was superb!

Not bad.
Nice property (although quite large) in quiet village. We used the pier transfer service both ways and it worked very well. Hotel staff was very kind and helpful. Our room overlooked the pool with the swim up bar and the loud music wasn’t really our thing, but it was only on until 7pm, so it didn’t end up bothering us too much. There was not many people partying in the pool but I imagine it gets busy around the full moon. The other pool was a more quiet place to hang out, if you prefer, and there are rooms over there. So make sure you get what you want when you are booking. There was a pretty strong sulphery smell occasionally coming from the plumbing in our otherwise very nice room. We never had any hot water and we weren’t sure if that was by design due to the climate. It didn’t bother us, but it might bother you.

Resort is a bit tired and old family rooms need updating. Gap in front door made it tricky for children to sleep as noise and light came into room and not very secure. Beach in front of hotel is not great, much better beach at Thong Nai Pan. Staff are friendly but as a resort charging a fair amount for your stay something is missing.

Struttura molto bella e ben pulita. Personale di ricevimento molto qualificato, gentile e disponibile. Camere e personale ottimo. Unica pecca la colazione: personale dedicato non preparato (ci mettevano tanto tempo per rimpiazzare i tavoli, la pulizia in sala ristorante lasciava molto a desiderare). La struttura è molto bella, ma rimane un po' isolata, quindi considerate l'affitto del motorino (Con patente internazionale). Nel complesso comunque struttura da consigliare.

Das Zimmer war im Neubau des Hotels und befand sich somit in einem nahezu einwandfreien und neuen Zustand. Die beiden Pools sind sehr groß und haben viele Liegen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, jedoch war der Platz selbst in der Nebensaison etwas eng bemessen. Das Hotel hat keinen direkten Strandzugang, jedoch ist der wirklich sehr schöne Strand nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Hier könnten jedoch meiner Meinung nach hoteleigene Liegen aufgestellt werden. Die Lage ist ziemlich abgeschieden, jedoch gibt es das wichtigste um das Hotel und die Insel ist mit einem Roller gut erkundbar.

Dejligt hotel, men mindre god restaurant
Skønt hotel med serviceminded personale, lækker renlig og afkølet stort pool, flot værelse. Alt i alt var det et pænt og vedligeholdt hotel. Vi havde en dejligt stort værelse med kæmpe badeværelse. Der blev gjort rent hver dag. Personalet var søde og hjælpsomme. De stod klar når det gjalt transfer og ture. Området var en del væk fra ‘byen’, hvilket egentlig var ok for os. Vi lejede en scooter nogle af dagene og kørte rundt på øen, hvilket fungerede fint for os. Der er en lille købmand uden for ressorter, hvis man skal handle lidt. Stranden var også fin. Det der trækker hotellet lidt ned er deres restaurant. Selve maden er ikke noget at råbe hurra for ift. prisen. Vi fandt i stedet den lille restaurant uden for hotellet, Roots Corner, hvor vi spiste frokost og aftensmad. Morgenmaden, som var buffet, var med i prisen. Personalet kunne ikke følge med. Der manglede hele tiden mad. Det der var var ok. Hvad man kunne forvente.
