Perfect staff and best hotel location in Lamai
the staff are so very friendly and able to deliver everything we need in a polite as and resourceful manner. The location cannot be beaten being on the doorstep of the town centre. Fantastic and we maintained pool. Breakfast was up there as the best selection and comfortable surroundings. We definitely intend to return with a much larger group Of friends

The property was pretty good. Rooms were good other than really hard bed. Due to high tides, there wasnt much for a beach, but not the hotels fault. Breakfast was across the street and yes you have to be cautious or aggressive to cross, but didnt bother us at all. Breaky was good, combination or Thai and American. Only complaint would be the repetitious and loud music around the pool. Even when there was nobody really there, it was loud. Had to request turn down a lot and normally if good music we dont mind as long as you can still talk. All in all quite happy and would return.

Stayed at am samui palace it's a lovely hotel right in the middle of lamai so you don't have far to go for nightlife and at the same time it's so peaceful and laid back in the hotel they also have room that have there own access to the pool which is a really nice touch

We love everything about this lovely resort. This is our second stay with our two children. The staff are wonderful and helpful, the two pools stunning, the property well Maintained and clean and the breakfast delightful. I would recommend this resort to anyone and we will be back again .

In the middle of Lamai.
Very nice hotel in the middle of Lamai. Walking distance to nightlife and bars. Two very nice pools and 50 m walking distance to the beach. Rooms are clean and I had 5 m to the pool from the balcony.

Lovely rooms with comfortable beds and linens, clean and well maintained . The grounds are beautiful and the staff very friendly and helpful. A very nice breakfast and a great happy hour around the pool from noon till 5:00. A short walk to beautiful Lamai beach in one direction and across the street from the Lamai Night Market to the other. Surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops and spas, this hotel is in the heart of it all yet very peaceful and quiet. A real gem.

Great location and very friendly and helpful staff. Room was very clean and comfortable. Two very beautiful pools and an adequate amount of lounge chairs. Breakfast buffet was excellent with substantial selection. Definitely a good value hotel.

Wir hatten eine Honeymoon Suite für 10 Nächte (03.-13.01.2020) gebucht. Die gleiche Suite hatten wir bereits 2018. Das Zimmer ist im neuen Teil des Hotels und ist Nach wie Vor toll, ruhig und mit schönem Ausblick auf den Pool. Jedoch mussten wir bei der Sauberkeit feststellen dass diese, sowie auch die Reinigung während des Aufenthaltes nicht mehr die Qualität aufwies wie vor zwei Jahren (das Zimmer war ziemlich verstaubt; ev. wurde dies schon länger nicht mehr bewohnt, dann wäre aber eine kurze Reinigung vor dem Bezug wünschenswert gewesen, oder es wurde sehr schlecht gereinigt). Auf unsere Frage hin, ob die Suite vom letzten mal (vis à vis) auch frei wäre, wurde dies bejaht. Aber man wollte uns diese nicht geben, da es angeblich irgendwelche Probleme mit dem Zimmer gäbe. Das selbe kann man beim Frühstück sagen. Ist zwar vielseitig, aber halt eben nicht mehr in der Qualität wie das letzte mal. Grundsätzlich muss man feststellen, das die Preise in Lamai, wahrscheinlich auf Grund der ausbleibenden Touristen (Zimmerpreis /Nacht von 2018 zu 2020 +30%) zum Teil übertrieben hoch angesetzt werden und die allgemeine Qualität nachlässt (ev. auf Grund mangelnden Personals). Wir mögen wir dieses Hotel sehr gerne; ruhig, zentral gelegen, nur 100 Meter zum Strand, Massagen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants, Wäscherei sind Fussläufig zu erreichen, freundliches Personal; aber für das nächste mal werden wir uns Gedanken machen, ob das Samui Palace noch das richtige für uns ist.

Sehr schönes Hotel an gutem Standort. Die Duscharmaturen dürften einmal ersetzt werden, haben auch schon ein paar Jährchen auf dem Buckel. Der Normalpreis für ein Hotelzimmer ist jedoch viel zu hoch. Mit meinem 50% Rabatt war das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis jedoch i.O.

This is a beautiful property with two pools, a swim up bar and is 2 minutes walk to the beach or shopping. The wifi was good. The water pressure was good. There is a tv with a movie channel and a news station (in English) for the rainy moments. The breakfast buffet was typical and had enough variety each day. Overall I enjoyed my stay and the location was great. A few improvements I would suggest : I emailed the hotel twice to arrange an airport transfer and they didn’t reply. ( I suggest other travelers get a taxi from the airport as the hotel charged 40% more for arranging a pick up). I asked for an hour later checkout and was denied, I was told there are no late checkouts. I witnessed a kitchen staff member coming out of a bathroom stall and she didn’t wash her hands before returning to the kitchen. The bed and mattress were good quality, although extremely firm. It was like laying on a yoga mat on tile. I had sore hips and shoulders for most of my stay. I strongly suggest mattress toppers. The towels are for pools only. It would have been nice to have access to a towel that could be taken to the beach Or, some communication to let guests know to bring their own. A day trip was booked and the pick up was late. I asked the lady at the desk if she would call and find out if they were on their way. As I didn’t book the trip through the hotel, she wasn’t willing to help. None of these things ruined my stay and I would stay at this hotel again.

Recent Stay
Our recent ten night stay in the pool access room was nothing short of fabulous. Room was brilliant, pool excellent and daily breakfast was yum with plenty of choices. The local area was great with everything from restaurants, bars and local markets all a short stroll away. The beach is only a two minute walk as well. All hotel staff were super friendly and helpful and the free WiFi was surprisingly good. We totally enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Nice but.......lacking management
Everything was fine, except that the bed sheets were only changed once in a week. Wanting to rent a motorbike the reception told me they needed to keep my passport, how come, if you have the police asking for the passport or the driver licence, you need the original. So I did not take the service. The could have more attention from the crew, when you come back from the beach with the towel, there isn't a clean one in the room , you have to ask for it the next day and so on. The room was cleaned, but you have to do it correctly, not leaving hair or anything under the bed. Overall I was ok with the stay but if you charge 2700 bath for one night then the service and other should be at the same level
