- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and something to read. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3null4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should always be your main priority when selecting what to wear on board. Consider your footwear with care too, as swollen ankles and feet are a common occurrence. Roomy, closed-toed shoes are your best bet.
- The result of lengthy periods of inactivity, DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a condition that can affect passengers during long flights. But the great news is there are numerous ways to significantly reduce your risk of developing it. Keep your fluids up, wander through the cabin whenever possible and wear compression socks or tights.
