Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Wendisch Rietz holiday started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your phone, tablet and chargers, your important medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a sharp object lurking in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable products, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Go for comfort over style. Prepare for temperature changes by layering up, and wear flat, slightly roomy shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
