"The bar staff need some serious training, terrible service on Saturday evening , staff looked like university students clueless and zero customer service The room was ok, lots of fluff and dust under the bed, no I didn't deliberately check, I dropped something and saw it, the shower cubicle needs a good scrub too! And no fridge in the room!"

"The location is great the bathroom to our room was up some stairs from the bedroom the door opened out towards the stairs covering the handrail so could be a problem for some coming down the stairs from the bathroom. The bedroom was also up flights of stairs The mattress needs to go in the bin now! "A hidden gem in a fantastic location. It doesn't look much from the outside, but this is a great hotel, a 2 minute walk from Gun Wharf and the Historic Dockyard. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend"

"On approach of the Portsmouth Inn budget hotel it did look a bit off putting by all the wiring and stuff by the door but, as I found out when you go inside everything is nice and clean. there is nobody there to welcome you. It is a self service keyless entry. when you get in contact with the actual property manager you’re given a card via A key holder lock which opens the front door and opened your room inside the room. "The room was clean and spacious . We had a room with threes single beds and a little table and chairs. The shower room was nice. There was no reception there was lock boxes to pick up key cards from for the rooms. The price was really reasonable. The beds were very comfortable "

"A clean and comfortable room which had all we needed. Parking was in a nearby multilevel carpark, a 5 min walk away. Staff were very helpful and friendly at all times."

"The room was clean, and a great location in Southsea. A few small issues: the TV stopped working on our last morning, the bath had not been used and the water ran yellow, but the shower was fine. A cloth to do the washing up would have been of use. Overall the room was a great base for our weekend away."
