"The staff here are really friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable and in a great location for the city centre. It is a budget hotel and so there are no frills but it's perfect for a place to crash when visiting the city. "

"In close proximity to many interesting sites and places. Close to the sea front. The hotel just gets the simple things that many other hotels surprisingly don't. These include having a dining area to eat and having drawers to put your clothes (instead of on the floor like I had to in the last 3 hotels I stayed in. Reasonably priced and definitely value for money."

"I loved the Turf hotel. We were late arriving but the young lady stayed on site until we arrived. That alone is worthy of a good review. The room was fine, a little run down but certainly not a problem. The bedding was fantastic, plenty of pillows and a lovely warm duvet. We were only there briefly, we left straight after breakfast (which was really nice). Everybody we spoke to was super happy & helpful. I think we'll be back in the area soon and the Turf will be my first phone call for...

"Very nice room, recently renovated and very clean. All the amenities you need and steve (the host) goes out of his way to quickly remedy any issues. Stayed there for over 3 weeks in total now and its the only place id stay in Middlesbrough "

"I enjoyed my stay at travel lodge Durham but the room charge was excessive for the hotel. All the staff were very helpful and deserve praise for efficiency and friendliness"

"Was exactly what I needed, a place to stay for one night. Wasn't expecting ‘private bathroom’ to just be a sink in the room and a shared toilet but it was fine for one night."
