"COMFIEST BEDS ANYWHERE IN GREECE!! We loved our stay at Defkalion, the owner Toula is a wonderful host who treated everyone like family. "My room was very spacious, clean and, in addition to the large bed, was well kitted out with chairs, tables, etc - all things which make for a more enjoyable sojourn. The small outside terrace area was not only a pleasant place to relax, but included racks for drying clothes - most useful! There was an extensive range of food items - both hot and cold - for breakfast (taken in the spacious dining room). I only ate in the hotel on one evening, as I was trying out different restaurants in town, but the meal was good. The hotel itself is an easy, flat 10-minute walk into town along the beach-front promenade. If you're visiting Lesvos for the birdlife (as I was) then you'll see a fantastic range of species within the small marsh that you pass along the way. Magic!"
