"We stayed for a short weekend in Norfolk, decided on this stunning hotel. Was welcomed nicely in by the reception desk staff, room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Woke up to a lovely breakfast buffet both mornings. The golf course was impressive to see, even though we don’t play it ourselves. "When you stay at the Maids Hotel, the one thing that is fixed in your mind is “stairs” unless you can cope with stairs at every turn, this is not the hotel for you. This is because the hotel is a heritage building and it doesn’t lend itself to easy step free access. "Loved the children’s free ice or fruit . Children’s play area at breakfast. Dog friendly. Loved the warm pool and hot tub. I’m diabetic and had a low blood sugar. The man at the pool helped me . The lady at the bar read the list of about 15 favourers of ice cream . She was lovely. We had stay for funeral in the area . Would stay again"

No fridge in room …. Should be a given by today’s standards most dissatisfied.

"The property had staff that were helpful and polite we arrived early and the chap let us check in and order us a taxi to get into town .
When it was late he kept us informed.
The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed .
The shower products were lovely .
The breakfast selection was fab and the morning staff were chatty.
The hotel needs a complete overhaul it is dated and tired looking which I can imagine is disappointing for the staff that work hard .
They deserve...
