Verouderd hotel...de eigenaren doen echt hun best je veblijf goed te zijn...dus hun service is goed..eten is goed..beperkt in keuzes v maaltijden ..maar de kok doet het goed. Helaas oude badkamer met te korte slang naar douche kop..ik ben 1.67 en sta met mijn hoofd ertegenaan..dus iemand die langer is kan alleen zijn onderlichaam spoelen😁. Wifi is niet snel en in de meeste kamers amper bereikbaar...vandaar mijn beoordeling van redelijk

Gedateerd hotel met gastvrijheid hoog in het vaandel. Een nette kamer, goede bedden, prima ontbijt en een mooie plek aan het water. Vergaap je aan alle boten die voorbijgaan!

Zeer verouderd hotel, hangt een vrremde geur in de kamer. Alles is versleten. Zo jammer, het heeft een geweldige ligging bij het water en superstil in de nacht.

Het hotel is zeer gedateerd. Vloerbedekking vies, rommelig, muffe geur. De kamer daarentegen viel mee. Goed bed en redelijke badkamer. Ontbijt prima, niets op aan te merken

Een oud pand waar de grandeur zijn sporen heeft nagelaten. Dat maakt het bijzonder. Hett eten is voortreffelijk. Het terras kijkt uit op het water. De eigenaren zijn bijzonder grappug.

Wat een geweldige eigenaren. Ik heb heerlijk in de serre gezeten en prachtige verhalen aangehoord over vroeger. Super service en mooie historie op deze locatie.

De Oude Schouw

In de Oude Schouw wordt je zeer welkom geheten door de eigenaren/uitbaters. Bram is een goede kok die voor ons als enige gasten een heerlijke maaltijd heeft bereid. Het hotel heeft een fantastisch terras waar je onder het genot van een drankje naar de passerende boten kunt kijken. Het hotel zelf doet gedateerd aan. Maar onze kamer was schoon. Een fikse restauratie zou het pand geen kwaad doen. Al met al waren wij dik tevreden.

De accommodatie is geen Hilton maar de kok is voortreffelijk met een respectabele 3 sterren staat van dienst. De ontvangst was allerhartelijkst en het verblijf zeer aangenaam. Heerlijk rustig. De locatie is zelfs met openbaar vervoer bereikbaar, een bushalte bevindt zich op amper twee minuten lopen van het hotel. Voor wie met de auto komt is er een ruime parkeerplaats op eigen terrein. Verder biedt dit hotel een prima uitgangspunt voor fiets en wandel tochten. Vanuit de ruime serre heeft men een riant uitzicht op het Prinses Margriet kanaal met een druk scheepvaartverkeer. De kamers zijn in al hun eenvoud toch van alle gemakken voorzien zoals strijkbout, haarföhn, kluisje etc. Het onderhoud is door externe factoren de laatste jaren uitgesteld maar wie daar doorheen kijkt vindt hier een fijne accommodatie voor een alleszins redelijke prijs. Ga het ondervinden!

Slecht onderhouden hotel het rook er erg muf . Alles was slecht schoongemaakt, in het bad lagen nog de haren van de vorige gast. Ronduit smerig allemaal

Een heel dubbel gevoel. Aan de ene kant kent het hotel de voorzieningen die je hoort aan te treffen in een hotel en aan de andere kant maakt het hotel een desolate indruk. De prijs/kwaliteit verhouding is in onbalans. Zal zeker niet meer onze eerste keus zijn, maar voor in noodgevallen is het voor een nacht te doen. Het plaatje dekt niet het praatje.

A real gem, if you know what you are looking at. A rather large establishment, but only a fraction of the rooms are used. Very nice public areas. The hotel is directly on a highly-used canal, and makes for an outstanding place to watch the continuous boat parade, boats from rowboats to huge cargo barges. Our room looked out at the canal. Things were clean. Beds were good and comfortable. We were advised not to see what is on the menu, but to talk with the chef, and see what he feels like cooking. No disapointments there either. Think 1950. But a very stylish 1950. Not for everyone. We enjoyed it very much.
