"Very basic but even for the price the rooms were dusty. Cobwebs hanging off the walls. We had two nights due to a local wedding. Asked to move rooms because the mattress was terrible. Was told all the mattresses are the same and getting upgraded in the winter. Changed rooms, slightly better mattress. Even for a cheap night I'd expect no cobwebs / dust and a decent mattress. Won't go again."
"Goldborough Hall is excedllent in all respects. Breakfast very good. Standards of the hall were supreme. Lovely grounds. A real pleasure to stay at this wonderful hotel.
Thankyou."
"Booked here as a stopover on the way to Thoresby hall from Scotland as it was only a short drive off the motorway. We booked bed and breakfast at a very good price and we also had an evening meal. Both meals were great and the room even had an air con unit which was fantastic in the hot weather. The place was great value for money and we will certainly be back, can't thank the staff enough who were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Well done and we hope to be back soon."
"Beautiful decor in the lounge and dining room. Bedroom was lovely, clean and spacious.
The down side was on arrival I checked in and was told to the pay for parking at a machine. I was there for 2 days and I was charged £30. I spoke to the receptionist and she said I must have put in pm. 9.15 is am to me and that's what I put in. The receipt said 21.15 hours. Receptionist gave me a number to ring but it kept hanging up. Very disappointed with that part of my weekend away."
"The location is good and not too far away from city centre. Although the amenities of the room were dated, they were well maintained. Nice dining area for an ordinary English breakfast but I found they don’t serve whole milk! Overall, I have a good experience there and may consider to visit again."
"The room had damp and wood chip wallpaper that was hanging down from the ceiling!! At a cost of £145 per night !! I would have been better camping on the stray
We moved rooms and guess what it was just as bad .
It’s now reached the end of its life and needs a complete renovation of the hotels bedrooms or reduce the room prices to around £50 a night
Stay at your own risk I won’t be
I don’t leave reviews but I don’t want anyone else to waste there money"
