"Best to avoid"
The room had its door wide open. Perhaps someone else had this room, or the room was not ready. I went back to counter. I told the male staff about this. He asked me what is the problem?
I believe the male staff is a manager. He was cold to begin with when I checked in. Obviously, doesn’t want to assist me further.
It was broken recorded hot in Belgium. Refrigerator was on the facilities list when I booked the room, also list in confirmation email. But no refrigerator. There is wire in the closet, looks like refrigerator was removed. I went back to counter. Female staff told me it was a misunderstanding, only some type of rooms have refrigerator, my room is not one of them. While I was talking, the “manager” stared at me with unpleasant attitude. I was tired and it’s only for 1 night. So, I gave up.
The room has no AC. Window can only open a small gap, no wind coming through. Room is hotter than outside. Had to open the window all nigh to cold down, but mosquito get inside. I barely had any sleep with mosquito around whole night and itchiness stay with me for days.
I understand AC is not a stander appliance, due to global warming just happen. However, “manager’s” bad attitudes make experience with this hotel even worse. It was depressing bad; I was wondering whether he is racism.
I travel a lot. Worst experiences I ever had. This room cost more than 100 Euro per night. This hotel doesn’t have 3-stars hotel facilities, and definitely not a 3-stars hotel service.
