Excellent place to stay

Very nice property, very clean and organized. It is in a very good location, close to commercial and historical sites. A lot of things to do and places to eat nearby. We had a little confusion with the entry code, but could sort it out with the help of the property management and they immediately took care of it.

I Made reservations for a suite with two bedrooms but i got two separate bedrooms on different Floors. The floors where on two and three and there was no elevator, for our Age this was a big Climb. It took along Time to get Connected with the helpdesk and they did not solved the problem. The appartements are clean and nice, but i missed the reception and elevator / vending machine for coffee or breakfast. Very nice was situation; middle of Antwerp

The apartment was beautiful and spacious. Borh beds were comfortable. The batheoom was amazing with the tub and shower working beautifully. AC and heat were localized and very good. The communication with the service was poor when we had problems, and the technician sent out to fix the problems did not fully fix one of them. The wifi was down the whole time, and we only found the router while checking out. There were lights that wouldnt turn on in all of the rooms. All in all, great property, but it needs some better upkeep and service.

Beautiful apartment but bathroom needs attention

The apartment is beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and spacious with wine glasses and a kitchenette. But, there was a leak coming from the upstairs apartment. Not just a bit of a leak but a flood that filled a pan. As we were only there one night we had enough towels to mop it all up. This has been mentioned in previous reviews so needs to be looked at immediately. Also the bathroom door was completely missing on one side. My son refused to shower with the family able to see him! Shame because the bathroom is really beautiful and the shower was good. The room was hot and the air con didn’t seem to work. A lot of lights are out especially the main one. It was a very good price for a lovely room but people shouldn’t be staying there till these issues are fixed. However, we found it all very funny and had a good stay because we were on holiday.

Wow what an excellent offering in the heart of town. Let down by communication which was only available online, all queries basically went unanswered. Be aware old building with very steep staircases, no lift.

Never got entry code; had to book elsewhere

No response to phone calls or messaging when we did not get the entry code to the apartment. Hotels.com personnel in Europe not helpful. Found another hotel, excellent and yet less expensive (Hotel Riga) in Antwerp.

Terrible communication

It is a lovely property in a good location but our experience staying there was extremely disappointing. Issues with luggage storage, poor communication, broken air conditioning and WiFi that didn't work with no solutions from the staff despite multiple conversations with them. Bed was also hard and the pillows not very supportive, leaving us in pain in the morning.

The property looks nice in photos but did not function well. Every other item was broken or not functional in the apartment. We had to use a flashlight to illuminate the toilet area because the light was burnt out. There was no wifi signal on the third floor. When I contacted Smartflats they filed a ticket and because they are a long-distance property manager did not do anything about it. I will not be staying with Smartflats again.

So beautiful! The flat we had was made for a couple, not for two friends who shared the space as the shower was outside with no privacy. But besides that, the flat was gorgeous, in a great area, walkable to concert venue, center of tourist attractions, dining and shopping. Just be aware, no elevator! And if you don't pay ahead, make sure to check your email so you are not dealing with calling service area and having them figure the reservation out like I did. I had to spend 2 hours in the cold dealing with it all. I wish I had checked my email ahead but I was on full vacation mode.

Bad accommodation, but nice location

Nice location , but standard of flat was not as expected . The refrigerator was broken , cooking fan not working so it was not possible to steak meet or store any food . Tv was not working (no remote control) But the worst thing was the heating fan not working . The temperature inside the flat was low and we were freezing . All contact with smart flat did not help us . They where waiting for feedback from technical team . I regret ordering this apartments and the issue with tv and refrigerator has been reported by former customers as well and should have been fixed ahead of Your stay . The temperature in flat should have been fixed ,especially at this time of year with outside temperature of 6-8 degrees celcius .

They obviously deceive people by saying they have tv….you can’t have tv without a remote… which is non existent. You chat with them and they have you looking around for 20 minutes knowing full well that there IS NO REMOTE AND NO ON/OFF button on tv. They tell you technical department is unavailable, you check again in AM and told no word back yet. This is FRAUD plain and simple. You get 1 salad plate, 1 dinner plate and bowl. 1 each small and lg cup and same glasses. No napkins, tissue or paper towels. Hole in deck floor with gross table and chairs and cigarettes all over roof. AVOID!!!!! They appear to me to pull the same scam on every guest as far as tv…probably don’t want to pay for it and they know that’s a filter item in search. Never recommend. As a flight attendant I will spread the word!

Terrible experience

My stay at raphael suites has been extremely disappointing. For the past times that I have been there, the place is only going from worse to worse. You can tell they don't care about the details anymore. The suites have many broken elements, and new bad surprises each day and this would be ok if they would fix things but they don't. It really feels like they don't care at all anymore and it made the experience so uncomfortable. There was no heating at first (while freezing outside), then there was no light in the bathroom, then there were other people having access to the code and then for 3 days there's a light that didnt turn off which meant that I couldn't sleep. I can't believe a place like this can still have so many issues and such a bad service. Extremely dissapointing.

Dumb Flats was difficult all around. Photos are misleading and this is not a 2 bedroom as advertised. The instructions for the "Black GOKI keypad" are not for the black keypad clearly labeled "GOKI," but for the small keypad that is not labeled GOKI. Even with the right keypads, the codes sent did not work, and the attitude of the help center was that we were doing it wrong... we had to send video proving that we were doing it correctly and the codes did not work, and send video again when the new codes they sent also did not work. Floors were not clean on arrival; spills and uncleaned goo on walls in kitchen and toilet cabinet. Broken furniture (chair by entry door), half of lighting did not work, no remotes could be found for the TVs, broken inside pull for toilet cabinet, missing an entire door to close off kitchen from bath area. Soap dispenser missing from shower and hole in wall where it was pulled off; hole in toilet cabinet wall where toilet roll holder torn off; large hole in bath ceiling half-covered with tape and paper. Multiple loose cabinet pulls. No kitchen towels and no drying rack (important given there is no dishwasher). Espresso machine with no pods and no instructions. No extra blankets and cold in apartment, and heat could not be adjusted at all. Automatic lighting for stairs does not come on until after you trip on the stairs. It is a good location, and not on dumb flats that there is construction across the street that starts at 0500.

Très bien situé, près des marchés de Noël et boutiques. Plusieurs options de restauration. Appartement très comfortable mais plusieurs lumières ne fonctionnaient pas donc l’éclairage de l’appartement plutôt sombre, surtout lorsqu’il pleut. Très propre, parfait pour trois ou quatre personnes. Communication avec locateur facile.

Sehr schöne, große Altbauwohnung mit hohen Decken und Designmöbeln. Einstmals hochwertig ausgestattet, könnte sie dringend eine Renovierung gebrauchen. Die Toilettentür z.B. kann man mangels Klinke nicht schließen, der Halter für das Duschgel ist abgefallen, Flecken auf dem Teppich etc. Die Straße vor dem Haus ist momentan aufgerissen, weshalb es auch morgens sehr laut war. Aber das ist ja nur temporär. Sonst ein gutes Viertel. Wir haben uns trotz der Mängel wohl gefühlt.

Très décevant

Beaucoup de petits problèmes : douche glissànte, aucune notice pour régler le chauffage ni la télévision, un incroyable sous-équipement de la kitchenette (seulement 2 assiettes et 2 verrres à eau par exemple, pas de grille-pain). Et une communication de pure forme en l'absence de contact sur place. Navrant pour une location bien située et à la décoration soignée (malgré un chariot de linge sale stationné en permanence dans l'entrée !!).
