Can't recommend enough as a base to explore Kilkenny and surrounding area, it's a super peaceful and tranquil area out in the country. "Clean and comfy room! Breakfast was amazing! Gym was great, but be aware its used by locals and they weren't super welcoming. The pool/spa area was crawling with loud kids (again locals use this as a leisure club too), so we avoided that."

"If you are on a pilgrimage to experience the life of St. Brigid, this is a wonderful place for the journey. It is directly next door to the Cathedral. The Firecastle Market next door is, I presume, owned by the same people. They were so gracious and helpful. Let me store my bags in their tiny office so I could continue to explore. Truly wonderful hospitality all the way around no matter what your reason for visiting Kildare."

"The Abraham was a comfortable stay in a self-contained farm cottage. It had everything we needed from a comfortable bed, a good shower, warm heater and washing machine. Sean was a very friendly and helpful landlord with plenty of helpful advice about dinner options and local sites. We had a wonderfully quiet couple of days. "
