"Handy stopover for trip to London."

The carpets in the rooms are suffering from wear and tear and could do with a better clean. The rooms needs a bit more of a clean in general. The shower also started dripping in both rooms (which were at other ends of the property) at around 3am which woke us up. "The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful."

"Bed was comfortable and breakfast very nice. Negatives - no air con on a very hot day/night and shower problematic. Couldn’t avoid getting hair wet, shower head too high to adjust and no soap in dispenser. Otherwise all good."

"I didn’t realise upon booking that the hotel has no A/C throughout, my room was 27 degrees, woke up at 2 am due to it being red hot and went and sat near reception as it was around 10 deg lower than the room, there was a free standing fan in the room which looked like it had done a few rounds with Mike Tyson, then just to top it off the fridge didn’t work at all, and when we reported it nothing was done. For £180 for 2 people for 1 night I could have stayed somewhere with a/c, a swimming pool &...

"We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was incredibly nice—clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect, and having hassle-free onsite parking made our trip so much smoother. We also loved the nice pool area, and the food at the restaurant was both delicious and very well priced. Highly recommend this place,"

"The hotel is great; it really has all the good vibes you can expect from such an old building. It actually adds to the experience. Sadly, we went during the heatwave, and our room was so hot- hotter than our teen's room by at least 2-3 degrees Celsius. We had a tiny desk fan with a very small window, so the heat was unbearable with almost no way to cool down. Because we had a vaulted ceiling, I think a ceiling fan should be added for improved airflow. I don't think A/C is required since it...

"Beautiful cosy double room full of amenities, mini bar, fridge and Nespresso machine, and fresh milk! Lovely modern bathroom. Rooms hot in the heatwave we are experiencing but a fan was provided and I took my own. Hotel provided extra bottled cold water to help which was a nice touch. Loved the local honey given as a gift in the rooms. Had dinner and breakfast. Both very good. Lovely staff team too. Would highly recommend"
