We used the hotel as a 12-day base for multiple roadtrips to Olympia, Sparta, Mycenae and others, but every other guest only stayed 1 or 2 nights on stopovers. Beds are quite hard, furniture could use an update, and a few minor amenities would be a bonus (dish washing towels, washing machine tabs, utensils). Interior was clean, just outdated. Kids loved the cats, and I have been asked to rename: Calico = Filepé (loves cuddles) Older Calico = Shortie Gray Tabby = Nina & Lina (bigger) Tabby with white = Georgie Skiddish dark cat = Shadow Overall great time and would recommend."

"Our stay at Aethra was good. The staff were helpful. We really liked that the location was in the old town area and thus very convenient to many things to do. The courtyard is also nice for breakfast. Our room was very spacious. That said, the breakfast itself could perhaps use an upgrade. Also, the shower in our bathroom was quite dangerous: the shower head was positioned so that it sprayed on the floor outside the shower stall, leading to very slippery conditions.
