"Everything about this Bed and Breakfast is absolutely wonderful!! It’s no wonder why they call it the gathering place, the owners Al and Annette are so warm, friendly and hospitable they make anyone want to gather around. Be sure to pet their sweet small dog as well. The well maintained winding dirt road goes through beautiful forest and when you arrive there you’re overcome by the beauty of the property. Make sure to check out the house and properties history in a book that the owners kindly put out for guests. The beds are so comfortable and clean you might not want to ever leave! The rooms are big and cozy with beautiful furniture, there’s even a great view of the landscape and pond. Plus after a long day you can use your own PRIVATE bathroom with soap, towels and robes all at the ready! And when you’re ready to start your day their homemade breakfast will rock your world! For lunch/dinner they can help recommend local restaurants. I also HIGHLY recommend looking through their shop. Annette has a real talent for sewing/quilting with everything from book marks to bags and quilts. And Al has handmade amazing jewelry with beads, semi precious stones and shells. I honestly wish I could have stayed longer and I will definitely be returning there when I’m in the area. Whether you want to just sleep, chill and be left alone or if you want great conversation, games and fun this is THE place to stay!!!!"
"Beautiful setting and lovely accommodations. I loved that they provided life jackets and free use of kayaks, paddle boards and canoes. The kids loved the field to play games and the dock on the water was great for jumping into the lake. The frog pad was a big hit and kept them occupied! The fire in the evening was great, even though we had to put the kids to bed and didn't get to spend much time there.
We did not use the restaurant, but maybe next time! We plan to return."
"Great place to stay while exploring the Bancroft area. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are a great comfy place to crash after a day of adventure."
