Oaxaca is a must do place for anyone wanting to experience real Mexico. It is a very relaxed and friendly place. Great cuisine and very unique. The nearby places of Mitla and Monte Alban are very much worth visiting

MARO shop (Cinco de Mayo near to Plaza Santo Domingo) is a great place to buy clothes and gifts if you want to make sure the payment goes directly to the women who produced the goods. Prices are marked on goods so there is no haggling needed.
