Bangkok is getting more difficult for me in many places, in general I've booked stays at the Tarntawong because Surawong Rd remains balanced in the presence of extremes. I remembered to leave a review because I thought of something about the girl at breakfast I think is right to say. I think that she's finely made. I mentioned to her one morning that I like the midcentury modern things in Bangkok.

Staff are friendly; within walking distance to several great seafood restaurants. I enjoyed tasting street foods from countless of hawkers especially during the week day morning rush hours. This hotel is the center of food paradise.

All good. One comment though re service: Thought guests would have submitted personal details during check-in . Would be a nice touch if they can wish guests who are celebrating their birthdays during stay . Was there on 21 Aug,( my birthday, but no acknowledgement . Not expecting gifts or freebies , just a nice happy birthday wish would add some joy. Unfortunate as I thought this would add a homey feel to the stay. Notwithstanding, service is still great and would make it go up another notch .

Best value, best location, best staff

This is a hotel I return to again and again. The location is perfect, being near all shops, restaurants, nightlife and the famous night market. My room was spacious and very clean with a nice bathroom. Breakfast menu is delicious.

Staff esp the new team at front desk is very helpful . Understand this is a fairly old hotel but can do with minor upgrades like better lightings n functioning TV . But still love the rustic n homey atmosphere that one cannot get in modern middle of the road hotels .

My room was impeccably clean as was the lovely bathroom. Staff are professional and helpful. The location is ideal for all needs. A safe secure location, away from noise etc. Very peaceful at night. No disturbance.

今回も、快適に過ごすことが出来ました、特にフロントの女性スタッフは全員が感じ良くとても親切に色々と対応してくれました、助かりました。有難うございました。 ところで、一つ要望があります。いつもtwinベットの部屋を希望しております、今回は、なんとか希望通りでしたが、予約の多い1月,2月はなかなか取ることが出来ません、もっとtwin ベットの部屋を増やして下さい、ワンフロアに一つしか無いとフロントから聞いております、シティーホテルでありながら、twinベットが少な過ぎます、今後、キングサイズダブルベットからtwinベットに改装することは、そんなに難しいことではないと思われます、 今回もエアコンシステムの改修とかで、ドレッサーが狭くなり、とても使いにくかったです。2026年の1月には、もっとtwinベットの部屋が増えていることを希望します。
