We had a great stay at the Generator Hostel in Barcelona. The building was clean, the beds were comfy, AC worked great, shower was hot. Short walk to Diagonal Metro station, so super convenient. I highly recommend! Best value we could find.

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
We booked a private en-suite room for two, but unfortunately, the bathroom drain was blocked, causing water to accumulate on the floor and creating a serious slipping hazard. We reported the issue to reception, and each time we were assured that maintenance would resolve it within an hour. However, despite staying for five nights and repeatedly raising the issue, nothing was ever done to fix it. The location was absolutely fantastic. As for cleanliness, it could have been better, although we didn’t have particularly high expectations given the hostel standards. However, having such a basic issue left unresolved throughout our entire stay made it difficult to feel comfortable and enjoy our accommodation. It was particularly disappointing that such a simple but important maintenance issue was repeatedly acknowledged but never addressed.

Very practical - a bit noisy because of young groups staying at the facility. But really very good location ideally located.
