Nice authentic room - helpful staff and tasty food

Wonderful friendly and attentive staff . Parking easy , excellent food and very comfortable bedroom . Would definitely visit again.

We had an amazing 4 days at the property. The owner was fantastic providing us with bread, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, butter amongst other things. The property was lovely and cozy and would highly recommend. The high street was a short walk with some great dining options ☺️

Lovely staff and food in pub really good. Beautiful unspoilt views from the garden. Room was small but perfectly ok for what we needed.

This is the third time we have stayed at The George. It's always been impeccably clean. The bed was comfy and surprisingly little noise from the road outside. There's no breakfast (but many cafes in the high street outside) and no facilities to speak of. However, for just £55 for a double room, we find it excellent value.

We only stayed for the one night but we will definitely be returning. The owner/staff are lovely, the room and amenities were superb and the breakfast is the best we’ve ever had, cooked perfectly and it just tasted lovely. Can’t recommend this place enough. Hastings Old Town is a great little place too.

A note of realism - if you're hoping for the Ritz Carlton this is not the place for you. If, however, you want budget accommodation done well in a classic English...

We had an amazing stay and the hosts were very attentive from the minute we arrived to when we left and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and really clean and comfortable and the breakfasts were lovely. We will definitely visit again and this would be the only place we would stay in Eastbourne.

We loved the cleanliness of the property. The room was superb and clean with a beautiful view of the sea.

A little dubious at first, hidden away behind a bar but couldn't have been more wrong. Met by Gemma who was very attentive and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was comfortable. Actually this was true for all of the staff, all very friendly and attentive, The bar itself also great decorated and furnished to a high standard and very clean and tidy. The only slight negative being the room that we were allocated was very hot and couldn't sleep, however mentioned it to the staff and they...
