Let me tell you something about the Bedford Inn in Virginia! 😂
I was driving from New York back home to Texas after my father’s funeral, already emotionally exhausted and running on fumes. Then Mother Nature decided she wanted to participate in my road trip! It was nightfall, raining cats and dogs, and I couldn’t see five feet in front of me. At that point, I wasn’t sure if I was driving to Texas or straight into the pearly gates! 😭😂
Needless to say, I decided it was time to call it a night!
Enter the Bedford Inn. This quaint little hotel has that old-school charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back into a simpler time. But the real gem was the owner, Jodi who was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. After the kind of day I’d had, that little bit of human kindness meant more than words can explain. The owner made me feel comfortable, put my fears to rest, and gave me peace of mind when I desperately needed it.
I arrived looking like a woman who had survived Noah’s Ark, the Great Flood, and a personal battle with Google Maps all in one evening! 🤣🌧️ But I left feeling safe, welcomed, and grateful."
