XinXiangYaYuan Courtyard was an absolutely lovely oasis in the heart of Beijing! The beds were SO comfortable, the staff was incredible (kind, helpful), and the rooftop terrace is perfect for an early evening beer and snack. Breakfast was mostly Chinese items, with some yogurt and egg options, as well. Would 100% stay again!

The reviews were correct. This is a wonderful place to stay in Beijing. It is a very small, quaint, and immaculately cared for hotel.
The rooms have very traditional and modern elements that work very nice. If only I spoke Chinese to use the automation.
The highlight were the staff of the hotel. They were unbelievably attentive, kind, genuine and helpful. The answer was always yes. We were leaving early for a tour and they opened breakfast early for us. After check out we left our luggage to walk around before coming back to leave to the airport. They invited us to tea time before we left, even though we were checked out.
Small, but impactful efforts. My wife said it was the best stay she has ever experienced in all our travels.
Overall the experience is good and remarkable. The service is excellent. In the traditional Hutong we can experience a very high technology room experience. That is unforgettable. If you come to Beijing, really recommend you to stay a night in hutong
The staffs are super nice and helpful, I would rate it 6-star. The property and room are beautiful and elegant, I wish we had more time to enjoy the facility. In general, it’s worth staying and it’s non-forgettable memory.
The staff at the hotel is wonderful. They tried their best to serve you. They even cooked the wonton at night after 10pm. The breakfast and afternoon tea are terrific. We definitely have a great time here.
This hotel is so beautiful !! Staff are so friendly. I stayed here for 9 nights. It start to feel like a home away from home. I look forward to come back here. If you want to experience old Beijing style you should consider this place.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, the location is great and a lot of efforts have been put in the decoration and facilities, giving us the feel of an authentic Siheyuan with all the modern comfort. Rooms are spacious and perfectly equiped. We particularly liked the small private patio that added calm and privacy. The staff is amazing, kind, efficient and very attentionate, we even had a wonderful tea time and treats during our stay and loved the small happy birds singing. A very nice place that we highly recommend to enjoy your visit of Beijing.
My stay at this siheyuan was one of the best experience in my 20 years of travelling extensively. I have stayed at numerous 5 star hotels and resorts, SLH hotels, but none come close to my experience at this siheyuan. The owner, Mr Jiang and staff are friendly, always chatting with us and providing us with the best service making sure that our stay was pleasant. The breakfast spread was amazing despite it being a small “hotel” with only 9 rooms. The “afternoon tea snacks” are available till 10pm. After a long day out, you are welcomed back to the hotel with an assortment of snacks which could easily fill you up. We had afternoon tea on the day we arrived at 2pm and even on the day of our departure at 7pm as we had a midnight flight back home. We travelled as a family of 2 adults and 2 children and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. I will highly recommend this hotel to anybody that want to experience living in a traditional Beijing courtyard house.
This is a beautifully remodeled sigeyuan—traditional courtyard style house situated in an old Beijing Hutong. It’s in a great location, close to all the sights, with fun shops and good restaurants nearby, yet very quiet at night. The staff is a team of lovely ladies who are incredibly friendly and helpful—they did our laundry, served us afternoon tea daily and would fix noodles and dumplings whenever requested. They are genuinely concerned with the guests and seem to really enjoy their jobs. The owner pays a lot of attention to detail, even the dishes and tea sets are carefully chosen and gorgeous. During our stay, there were three parrots, two katydids, numerous kois, and blooming flowers all around. We felt very lucky to have gotten the last room which had its own little courtyard and faced the koi pond. It’s a magical place, a highlight of our China trip.
From the time we entered the XinXiangYaYuan Courtyard hotel through the impressive red doors we were treated wonderfully and felt like part of the family during our 6 nights at the hotel.
The breakfasts had a wide range of delicious local and western foods, and the afternoon teas had lovely sweets and fruits. Our kids loved making coloured candy floss with the friendly staff. We loved how convenient the location was, a few minutes walk to either Dongsi or DengshiKou metro stations.
While it looks like a traditional hutong accommodation from outside, and beautifully decorated and complemented with goldfish and tweeting birds, the inside is super modern and comfortable with its smart toilet and lighting.
We loved our stay, and the delightful service, and would love to come back.
This hotel in Beijing offers a unique local style, complemented by exceptionally friendly staff and 5-star service. Though the rooms are small due to the building's conversion from local housing, they are well-designed and comfortable, featuring modern bathrooms and bedrooms. Voice-controlled lights and curtains (in Chinese) add a high-tech touch, and the toilet seat includes a washing function. Guests can enjoy complimentary afternoon tea daily and request late evening tea, both of which are delightful. The hotel location is 2km away from the east entrance of the forbidden city and tian'anmen square. It's really in the center of the old Beijing. 500m to subway station.
Set in a typical Beijing hutong, this charming little boutique hotel (with nine guestrooms) exudes the traditional feel of a siheyuan (courtyard), yet comes replete with modern amenities like wi-fi, projector tv and the ever helpful smart assistant XiaoDu to operate the lights, tell you the weather, provide wake-up calls, play music and other little tasks. The room is clean and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom complete with toiletries.
The service staff are excellent from the point of checking in to checking out, and everything else in between. Dressed in somewhat traditional garb, always friendly and cheerful, they are the very charm of the establishment. Requests either made in person or via Wechat are met with prompt efficiency and a smile.
Breakfast, which is included, is served in a small but well-appointed dining room. Typical Beijing breakfast fare is served, including porridge, noodles and various steamed and fried fare. For the weary guest after the day's exploits, "afternoon tea" is also available until late in the evening, with Chinese tea and assorted local snacks. Engaging conversation with the friendly and chatty owner tops up the wonderful experience.
It was a small property but the staff made it very welcoming for the guests with personalized services including breakfast and afternoon tea. It was about 10 minutes walk to Wangfujing shopping street and surrounding the accommodation there were some other f&b options and cafes.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 – Absolutely Outstanding Stay!
We stayed at this hotel for six nights and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The room was in immaculate condition—spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and extremely comfortable. Housekeeping was flawless every single day, showing great attention to detail and care.
What truly made our stay exceptional was the customer service. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met. They were professional, warm, and genuinely committed to making our stay enjoyable.
We felt completely looked after, and nothing was ever too much trouble. It's rare to come across such dedication to guest satisfaction.
Highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for top-quality service and comfort. 100% would stay again – a perfect 10 out of 10!
