"I stayed here twice. It is a comfortable hotel and has a pretty good buffet breakfast with plenty of waffle makers so you are not waiting forever for others to finish making their waffles. The location is very convenient for JFK airport and its the best selling point for this hotel. However, the neighborhood around the hotel is a little grungy (kinda like it is around Port Authority in Manhattan) but its a very short walk to the airtrain and subway. The rooms I've been in were very comfortable...

"Nice quirky old hotel. Has 3 floors but there are no elevators. Very steep stairs.The room did not have air conditioning (although other rooms apparently do) so thankfully it was cool enough outside to open the windows. They gave us a fan but we didn't use it. One window was missing the screen. The bathroom was passable but the door did not latch so it had to be held closed if we used the bathroom. Also no exhaust fan so taking a shower meant being in a fog afterward until the steam cleared out....
