"Our stay at Holiday Inn was unfortunately disappointing from start to finish. Upon check-in, we were unable to access our assigned room because the door lock battery was dead. After notifying housekeeping, we waited in the lobby with all of our luggage for about 20 minutes before being reassigned to another room. During our stay, we experienced persistent noise issues—from the elevator, ice machine, and guests upstairs who seemed active throughout the night. This ultimately led us to check out earlier than planned after three nights. The room itself was also understocked, with only two washcloths and a single hand towel provided. Having traveled extensively, particularly in military towns, this level of inconsistency is disappointing and, unfortunately, feels familiar. It’s disheartening, as this is a brand I remember fondly from childhood and expected better from in terms of overall property upkeep and guest experience. The only positive note: my husband did enjoy the coffee. Overall, not the experience we had hoped for."

"The only good thing about this place was it is convenient to the gate to Fort Rucker. We had to ring a bell and wait for someone to come buzz us in so we could check in. We had a king room on the 2nd floor. It looked like someone robbed an Ikea truck and threw the furniture in that room. The "down" comforter was filthy! Thank God I had brought my own blanket and pillows. There were two towels in the bathroom, no hand towels, no wash clothes, no ice bucket, no cups, no single brew coffee maker, no hair dryer, no ironing board, no pictures on the walls!! One sad little trash can and one little bar of soap. The water was hot and the rain shower head was ok. All we could find on the TV was Gunsmoke. There was NO continental breakfast, not even coffee or juice!! The pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned or filled in years. We did see a laundry room but didn't have a need to use it. The whole property could use a good cleaning, inside and out!!"

"Bedding had cigarette burns in it, 2 towels had stains on them, pool was filled in which we were unaware of. They had bird feeders everywhere randomly. Room was not as nice as pictures showed- we had a brown CLOTH recliner in the corner. We could throw a rock at a dollar general that was only a couple of feet from the bedroom door."

"We didnt get the suite like we ask for .We got a room with a king bed that was so high i had to buy a step stool at walmart to get on and off it.And my husband had to help me with that.We are 68 and 72 years old and that was hard."

"Booked last minute to be close to the volleyball tournament venue that got changed last minute due to errors. Rooms had missing locks. Rooms were not cleaned or changed. The staff had to change rooms for me 3 times. Traveled with 2 daughters and we did not feel safe at all. Faucet ran yellow/brownish water. Staff was patient and understanding, but the place looked so run down. Need some updating done."
