"Tumbleweed Cottage is a beautiful hidden jem that myself and Kay will be visiting frequently for many years to come , Shaan and Sef made us feel so welcome and so comfortable with our stay we wished we could've booked for longer, The Rooms are beautiful with fabulous views of the garden . Breakfast was amazing and Sef's fresh summer fruit yoghurts are just scrumptious, We will be back again with our children (dogs) and walk through the village, May the Force be with You "

"It’s a highway stop type inn. It served the purpose we needed. Break-fast included was at the service stop and was sort of a hit break-fast, was okay. Staff were pleasant. Room was very basic, but good enough for what we needed. No fridge in the room though. "

"I had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus West Retford Hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the historic building adds a lot of charm. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent—fresh and well-prepared. Only downside was the breakfast, which felt a bit basic compared to the rest of the experience. Overall, a peaceful and enjoyable stay. Would definitely return!"

"Beautiful old hotel in superb grounds. My 3rd visit. It’s dog friendly which is essential for me. Staff very friendly especially Angela who made such a fuss of our boy. Its excellent position means a great spot for beautiful dog walks, literally across the road. However I must comment on the room. It was absolutely boiling hot in there, totally unacceptable and uncomfortable, we were given a fan which helped a bit. One of the lights on the wall wasn’t working which made the room very dark. "Really great stay - I arrived late, but service was very prompt despite this. Room was lovely and shower (pressure and temperature and enclosure) was absolutely brilliant.
