Ran down and roaches

We had to stop partway through our travels, late at night, and Hotels.com recommended this one, unfortunately. There were roaches everywhere, the rooms weren't very clean, the ac had mold in it, and the hotel itself was poorly kept. The employees were friendly, at least, and the beds were comfortable enough.

Nice Room for a Great Price!!

Nice room for the price that you pay. Seems like the police harass the hotel customers around the area because of the kind of economic class that this hotel and the surrounding hotels attract due to the lower prices that are available at the hotels in this area. Convenient to shopping, restaurants, and downtown Birmingham.

The Smell

The staff was nice and the bed was clean. I always appreciate being able to take my dog for free! But the room smelled like smoke and the bathroom smelled bad too. The smoke alarm had been taken out. There were faint yellow stains all over the floor.

It's 'Back to basics' here. You get a bed, clean sheets (I hope), towels, a bar of soap, a phone & a secure lock on the door. And a tv with minimum channels. However, it's close to everything and it was a quiet, uninterrupted nights sleep. And at a price that couldn't be beat. Will stay again.

The shower head holder was broken and was definitely not what it looked like online at all and there was water leaks from upstairs in the bathroom and somewhere near the bed now as for the bed was comfortable though and the tv worked and the AC was good but the flusher for the toilet kept getting stuck and barely flushed would not stay there again it was nice as for how close places was but besides that horrible and housekeeping did not come by our room the two days we stayed they skipped us when they came.

This hotel was located 6 minutes from where our destination was. It's your basic hotel. We didn't to much like that they didn't offer a breakfast but knew that going into the booking. Area overall was friendly, didn't run into many people in the hotel, bathroom and beds was cleaned. Didn't see any lurking solicitators or drug activity. Easily hooked up my firestick without issues. Building must be well insulated as I didn't have to turn the heater on at all last night while it was in the mid 30's. The building stayed quite warm but not hot.

I was given room 228 after check in. Terrible shower, no hot water. Door lock doesn't work. I was moved to room 208 the second day. It was much better. Bathroom was small, but it was clean and there's hot water. Door lock works most of the time with the card key, which needs reprogramming. Parking lot was well lit and the staff was friendly and cooperative. It's a budget motel, don't expect too much.
