The royal Château de Blois reveals French history through its distinctive architectural styles spanning medieval to Renaissance periods. Wander the cobblestone streets of the old town before visiting the nearby Château de Chambord with its famous double-helix staircase.
We stopped off here en route from Dordogne to Calais. Don't know why some others say it's not near town - it's a 5 minute walk from Place de la Resistance - and we had a toddler with us! Super-easy parking, lovely staff, room big (we had one of the split level duplexes - was actually very reasonable in price too). Very clean, very comfortable, would definitely stay here again or recommend to others. I've stayed in enough "character" hotels to know that this was a breath of fresh air. Blois nice...

Had a great stay exploring Blois, a city we didn't know before but would enjoy returning to. We really enjoyed the walk into the city via superb gardens that had been part of Blois chateau. The hill side situation meant the outlook from many places was excellent. We enjoyed visiting st Nicholas' s church and the cathedral. Found a wonderful bar/cafe/restaurant near the cathedral where we had an excellent lunch. The chateau was great, huge amount to see. Have taken photos but asked to do this...

This hotel was perfect for our needs of travelling through France. The beds were firm and comfy, and the bathroom and bedroom spacious and clean. The hotel staff were also friendly and nice.
Breakfast is VERY self service, but totally fine.
Beware that Blois has a demanted one-waysystem. Driving through it using an English sat nav courtsey of Google Maps resulted in some shocking errors.
There are plenty of nice restaurants near the hotel too. Recommended.

Very convenient for the station.
Couldn't hear the trains after about 11.30. (I think they stop running).
Breakfast OK selection and plenty to eat.
Could have more towels or thicker ones some maintenance needed in the bathroom but large room and large bathroom. Definitely good value for money. Would stay there again.

Premiere Classe hotels don't pretend to give you more than the basics, but do them very well. For an extremely reasonable price they provide a clean room with a comfortable bed and private bathroom with good shower. The breakfast again is fairly basic, but has good coffee and fresh bread and rolls. They are also easily accessible from the motorways and have plenty of parking in a secure car park. The Premiere Classe at Blois Nord is exactly of this mould, but unlike some isn't in the middle of...
