We had a wonderful time and stayed two nights here. Clean, friendly staff. Very welcoming and a bottle of wine and gifts awaited us in our room. Wonderful breakfast! The owners are wonderful people. Very helpful. We loved it there!

I would give a perfect score for the property for the following reasons: 1. The staffs are extremely helpful and friendly. The lady went out of her way to give detaled suggestions for parking and house entrance. 2. The location is right in the city, within walking distance of historical sites, restaurants and shops. 3. The room is very cozy and clean. 4. The breakfast is wonderful and delicious. I highly recommend the hotel.

Lovely small hotel.

We are so glad we chose this small hotel after previous reviews. Friendly, personal and welcoming. Complimentary bottle of wine in room on arrival as well as snacks and water was added bonus. We asked for restaurant recommendatiions and Consuela booked for us 2 excellent local trattoria. Breakfast surpassed what we were offered in very expensive Venice hotel. Bologna is a lovely city and easy to see on foot from Palazzo Trevi. We would definately stay here again.

Charming, impeccably clean, amazing hosts

We loved Palazzo Trevi and would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Bologna. The room was impeccably clean, and the room is restocked daily with free water and chips. A complimentary bottle of wine is also provided. The hosts were extremely helpful and called us taxis to make our stay more convenient.

An excellent bed and breakfast 10 mins walk from historic centre. It was super clean and quiet and the staff were lovely. Lots of thoughtful touches put in on a par with a much more expensive hotel including bathrobes and slippers, 'proper' hairdryer as well as a wall mounted one, fruit bowl, replenished daily, a complimentary bottle of wine and snacks. Fridge was well stocked with water every day and there were tea and coffee making facilities. A very generous breakfast with a wide selection of cheese, meats, fresh fruit salad and local cakes served on the sunny roof terrace. Owners recommended some great local restaurants which we would never have found ourselves. Bologna is a wonderful city and the lovely people at this charming house made our visit.

Charm & attention to detail

This is a small hotel of some charm & with a high level of personal service. Located in a largely residential area it is nonetheless with easy walking distance (c 10 minutes) of the city centre. In particular I liked the homely breakfast room with its terrace. All personnel are helpful and well briefed. The keypad access for times when the reception desk is unmanned was carefully explained. Dogs are welcome & there are resident dachshunds.

Overall great place to stay, within walking distance of many shops and restaurants, and about 10-15 mins walk to the main plaza in the city centre. The room was spacious, but the shower very small. Bed very comfortable and area very quiet at night suitable for a good night's sleep. The room furniture however is very old (wardrobes and study desk) and the floorboards creak at night when other guests walk around. The manager claimed it was 'classic furniture, especially manufactured to look old'. Breakfast is served from 8-10 am, but the manager was happy to accommodate my early starts, and have breakfast start from 7.30am instead. Kitchen staff/lady very helpful and efficient.

When in Bologna, stay here!

I loved everything about this "room and breakfast" guest house. Conseula and Franceso are just about the nicest, most accommodating owners you will ever meet. The room is so clean, bed comfy, little treats and wine and slippers. All the touches that add up to a wonderful experience. I loved that my room had a little terrace! The breakfast was superb - lots of variety and the staff in the breakfast area were so warm and welcoming. Consuela even called and ordered my takeaway during a late evening from an amazing restaurant around the corner (Il Console fyi! so good - Consuela said to get some cake and I'm glad I did!). It's a little off the beaten path but everything is within walking distance. Honestly, I fell in love with Bologna and with this guest house. You won't regret choosing this as your home base while in Bologna.

The Best B&B/Boutique Hotel in Bologna

Outstanding B&B. It was certainly charming as the name indicates. The room was excellent and the shower one of the best in all of Italy. We were very surprise to find a complimentary basket of fruit and a bottle of wine when we entered our room. The owner was wonderful She was very helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants. The service was outstanding and the breakfast was excellent. We even found chocolates on our pillows.

Really great B&B in Bologna

Don't be put off by the limited from desk hours. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and they give you their mobile phone numbers to reach them in case of emergency. The location was great for walking around Bologna. Internet speed was good, shower had great water pressure & temperature. Overall great.

A perfect B&B - could find no fault

This really is a charming house. The owners Consuela and Francesco are very attentive, and explain that at the time they are not at Reception, you can get in with a keypad number. The room was lovely: very light, pretty and comfortable. Plenty of room to put your stuff in the bathroom. There was a bowl of fruit, a bottle of local wine and some nuts in our room, everything, including the water in the fridge was free. The attention to detail was exemplary. The breakfast was delightful, a wide choice of food and you could eat outside on the terrace or inside.

Home away from home.

The host and hostess were charming and very helpful. They recommended restaurants and helped us in any way that they could. The location was good, only a short walk from the main plaza. There are churches nearby. I could not have been more pleased.

Home away from home.

The host and hostess were charming and very helpful. They recommended restaurants and helped us in any way that they could. The location was good, only a short walk from the main plaza. There are churches nearby. I could not have been more pleased.

Wonderful place to stay, cannot recommend enough

The room was charming and comfortable, a good size with plenty of storage space. The decor was tasteful - I especially liked the en suite bathroom with it's rich blue tiling. The weather was exceptionally hot during our stay which made for 1 uncomfortable night (1 of 2), but the air conditioning worked fine and helped us cool down considerably. The location of the hotel is fantastic - 15 minutes travel by car from the airport, and about 10 minutes from the train station/ 25 minute walk if you prefer to have a look at the city first. There are plenty of nice restaurants near this hotel, and the main tourist locations are just a short walk away. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. On our first night they recommended some fantastic restaurants, 3 of which we attended during our weekend in Bologna. They also organised a taxi to take us from the hotel to the airport and allowed us to leave our bags there during the day, to collect later for our departure. I am very sure I will return to Bologna for another holiday and this hotel will be the first on my list to attempt booking; I would definitely stay again. Thank you very much :)

Wonderful little B&B in a quiet part of Bologna

The owner and staff were so friendly! The room as a good size, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower were quite good, and the air conditioning worked beautifully, even when it was incredibly hot outside. The location was nice, within walking distance of the main center of historic Bologna. The breakfast out on the garden terrace was tasty and beautiful. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are planning to spend time in Bologna!
