"This was one of the best Inn's I've stayed at. The staff went above and beyond to be welcoming and friendly. The room was perfect, clean, bright and exactly as in the photos. The common areas were so inviting, there was outdoor garden spaces, indoor spaces with comfy seating for curling up with a book. The breakfast was amazing with many choices. I would highly recommend and I'm already try to plan another trip there."

"This property is immaculate. The garden was lovely and offers shade and sun. The owner is such a nice gentleman and cannot do enough for the guests. My bedroom was large and comfortable. The shower in the bath was powerful and it makes such a great change to be provided with large bath towels. The bed was very comfy. The breakfast was great with lots of variety! Fresh fruit and juice as well as a choices of cooked options. Id stay here again in a heartbeat."

"The problems 1 having paid extra for room with a view of the harbour this was completely destroyed by the view if the adjacent flat roof broken tiles and multiple AC units. 2. No Ac unit in this room Windows that effectively didn’t open ( 1/4 in only) Late afternoon sun And someone had left the heated towel rail on Also a winter weight 10.5 tog quilt on the bed. No sheets So obviously the room never cooled down. Having 3 noisy fans was just an indication if problems and were of minimal help"

"We saw the proprietor when we arrived at the property. He said our room was ready, although we were very early. My partner was delighted with the box of breakfast goodies. The fridge and microwave were welcome extras.. Clean linen, big room, great locality. No negative points at all."

"This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at. And I have stayed in 100s. Staff could went above and beyond, the place is stunning, the rooms are spectacular and the breakfast was excellent. I wish I could stay every weekend."

"Has a cafe bar which is used for meals and has lovely food, the management and staff are really helpful. Loads of parking. No aircon but that is something they could look at going forward."

"The biggest issue was : no Air Conditioning. Very hot room and corridors. Other issues were small, but added up: Kids playing in reception/compass/entrance, shower door wrong way around, shower not draining, bar staff not always available, one lift not working - little things that could easily improve with care and attention, which you would expect at a good hotel."

"Most things okay, but as is too often the case, the secure cycle storage requested and confirmed in the booking stage didn't exist! Really not happy leaving an irreplaceable bespoke bicycle in the cleaner's room!"

"The room was very clean but the shower had an ingrained floor, a broken tile on the shower step and broken grouting around skirting. The steam room hinges were so rusty that I was surprised they still held the door on and the jacuzzi was mostly peeled paint would not have liked to use it. The childrens play area consisted of one very worn swing and a dilapitated play shoe. The games had one worn pool table. This was for the use of 50 rooms. "The bed was super comfy and a king size. Towels were fluffy and big. Room was hot but it was the time of the heatwave and a fan was already in the room so all good. The breakfast was delicious and loads of it. The staff were also great, particularly Jimmy who showed us to our room, he served us a pint and said that if it was not up to standard, to let him know and he’d change it! All great customer service, all round from everyone at the Nags Head - well done all!"
