"It is the nature of reviews to find fault, but almost everything was just right about this hotel. The location, the amenities, the condition of hotel and cleanliness were all excellent. I have specific needs and the hotel allocated me a room which fitted them exactly. The room was spotless and damage-free.
The staff were all friendly and efficient although I didn't need to interact with them all that much as everything was just fine.
A couple of minor observations. There is a "shop" near reception which is mostly overpriced, although water not overly so. It is, however, convenient as the nearest shop must be some way away - I never saw one nearby.
Breakfast was as good as you'll get in most hotels nowadays and one both mornings I was impressed to see that, despite coming down at quite different times, the cooked food was hot and not suffering from exhaustion from being out too long. On neither day was the restaurant overrun at breakfast so that was quite a trick! I was very pleased to find the fruit salad was fresh and didn't seem to contain any tinned fruit, a cheat employed by a lot of hotels with buffets.
I ate in the restaurant on one evening. The burger I had was so-so, but served the purpose as did the fries. Having largely eschewed booze for several years now, I was disappointed to find no alcohol-free beer available. The young lady who served me was very apologetic but she shouldn't need to be.
I heartily recommend this hotel and will go back if in the area.
