"This hotel is really good value for money. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable and there was free WiFi. The views from our window weren’t great (we were overlooking a large grey flat roof and a building site) but that’s not what I was paying for so it didn’t bother me. The check-in was fast and efficient however I was hit with a £30 refundable deposit per room (I’d booked two rooms) which wasn’t an issue for me in the long run but I don’t recall being made aware of that...

"Our favourite Sheffield hotel, at the moment. It is set in a beautiful location on the quayside but still easy to walk to the city centre. "Good comms on the phone before I arrived. Kindly suggested that I park at the secure NCP car park next door as there had been some theft recently, which was cheap enough. The room I was given had been smoked in (not the hotels fault) - the guys on the reception immediately swapped me to another room with no quibbling which was great. Hotel could do with a couple of touch ups, but it was clean and friendly and an absolute bargain compared to other options. Very good breakfast too"

"Very disappointing to arrive on site a 1845 and discover that there was no restaurant facilities and no bar available for a drink. The booking confirmation stated that both were open 11 till late, but it's actually 6pm when the restaurant closes.
