"What a fun, convenient and historically rich place to stay. The location was convenient to transportation and anything was a short walk away. The room was spacious, bathroom luxurious, bed extremely comfortable and people friendly and helpful. How nice it was to enjoy a drink outside our room after a day of touring York with a snack in the shade. Being right beside the cathedral was a bonus. Late check in was no problem and staff stored our luggage safely after checkout. "

"Perfect location to visit Hull Uni. Parking available. Room was Ok but one ceiling light was not working. The bathroom was clean but needed some t.l.c. Bedroom was a good size and clean. good facilities. bed mattress was too soft for my wife and I but comfortable. Outside lights to the back of the property were still on around 1..30 pm which disturbed our sleep pattern a bit. "Well what a surprise we hadn’t expected much as we paid a very reasonable price. Arrived and was shown up to our room, very friendly service. We stayed in the cappuccino room. The room was lovely, great size & really light and airy. Lots of little touches like kits with things you might need, plenty of shower wash, shampoo etc. tea, coffee & sugar well Stocked as well as little biscuits & bottles of water. "This is a lovely traditional country pub with friendly hosts and locals, attentive staff and a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere. "The location is fabulous, the apartment is fantastic and amenities great. The beds were not great, very uncomfortable. They advertise luggage storage and before we checked in they stored our luggage and then took it to our room when the room was ready, that was awesome, but when we asked for luggage storage on our check out we were told we would have to pay. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"Really good stay. Had an issue with the bathroom plug and was able to speak to someone straight away. Very hot in the apartment, especially the bathroom. Another fan or two would have been great. Only issue was in the parking area, very tight to get out the space when all spaces were being used. Walkable to everywhere if interest. Would recommend and stay again. "
