"Wow, what a stay.
Dave, Stephanie and the Saucy Willow staff were absolutely wonderful. The room with its historic charm was spacious and comfortable, the many amenities ensured we were never short of fun things to do and the breakfast was divine.
Would highly recommend accordingly!"
"The front desk person was argumentative and rude. I explained that I had an email confirming that I had an early check-in for 2pm and had the email open for him to read and he continued to argue with me that I could not have an early checkin because I did not call. We were on our way to a 3pm wedding which is why I arranged an early check-in. Eventually he gave in and said "take the key". He asked me to sign a form saying that we will not smoke in the room and that there is a fine for...
"We stayed in Number 2 cottage which was a 2 bedroom. Very tidy, lots of parking, and well appointed for our stay. The view is BRILLIANT! The back porch provides a beautiful vista of Sturgeon Lake. There is a BBQ and outdoor seating, namely picnic tables. If you stay in, good wifi and Netflix but the sunsets are spectacular so don't miss them. There are a number of cottages on this property but noise isn't an issue for night time as each room has A/C and you can just close the windows (which...
"very steep stairs leading to rooms. Property is showing signs of wear and tear. We received emails regarding questions of access and connection to after-hours staff after we left!!! The room was clean and well stocked but showed its age. there is a much better option 10 minutes up the road for almost half the price. There are no extra amenities to speak of . Basically, there are only 2 options within the village and thus, this one is overpriced. Stay in Haliburton or Bracebridge instead."
