"Seaweed smell due to tractor being broken and beach not being cleared. There was loud construction in the lobby, only 2 restaurants were open our entire stay, had to switch rooms due to pungent smell of seaweed. New room had brown-tinged water one morning, and no blanket or comforter on bed. The bedding consisted of pillow, flat sheet, and fitted sheet. No blanket or anything. "Overall we had a great experience. The rooms were clean and well-maintained. We stayed in a Gauguin Suite, which felt more like a private villa than a hotel room. Having a secluded backyard and plunge pool was a huge plus and made the stay feel very intimate and relaxing. The beach is absolutely beautiful and easily one of the resort's biggest highlights.
