4/5 - Good
Lovely remote area for some peace & quiet

Staff were hospitable, hotel was like a Premier inn and restaurant next door like a toby carvery so all was good. The bedroom was good for us family of 4 but people stayibg in room above were walking/banging alot which was annoying at times otherwise all else was fine.

Never had hot water for the entirety of the stay. Went to make a complaint and when advised someone would contact us after we escalated the complaint, nobody ever has. For the money and 5 star rating you would expect way better service.

I booked this with very little notice for the same night. The hosts were very accommodating, and I couldnt fault their hospitality. Lovely place

Lovely apartment, cute goats and chickens a short walk on site. Only downside for us was the kitchen was still a little dirty from previous guests, but a quick clean up did the trick

Lovely remote area for some peace & quiet
If you're driving from the Glasgow direction it's best to take the second Cairndow exit, as the hotel is very close to that end. If you enter from the first turn you have to drive a longer distance on a narrow single-track road.
The hotel is loch-side, but toward one end. Given recent weather patterns, this unfortunately meant that the water was quite low and the view was spoiled by the sludgy residue that stretched for a good distance from the normal shore.
