Perfect break, away!
"Boutique hotel" describes Summerplace perfectly as the focus is on personal service, comfort and relaxing experience.
Driving directions were spot on. Despite arriving early we were welcomed warmly and shown around the tastefully furnished property and our room which we were pleased with, every conceivable attention being paid to our personal comfort. This delightful residence strikes the perfect balance of a beautiful ambiance, location and superb hosts. "Team Summerhouse" are warm, funny, well informed and lovely characters. Breakfasts are cooked to order in addition to a beautiful buffet arranged on the grand piano. We chose each morning to eat outside overlooking the most exquisite views and sounds of the Madeiran countryside. Our breakfast being cooked beautifully to order. We are not serious walkers but the panoramic scenery and trekking has seduced us, so maybe next time! We have stayed in many "guest houses" and hotels world wide and Summerplace Guesthouse is to be highly recommended.
