"The staff was polite and helpful, the view from the room was outstanding, the food was good. The only issue was the noise made by the chairs in the dining room from the 14th floor but if you wake up before breakfast and go to bed after dinner, it is not an issue."
"Positives:
Friendly front desk staff, a large clean room (#408), comfortable bed, and effective air conditioning. The hotel is centrally located for shops, restaurants, and tram stops. With the windows closed, the fourth-floor room was generally quiet.
Negatives:
The shower area in room 408 has a large clear glass window, offering no privacy. We had to cover it with towels. The rooftop terrace bar is a separate business with its own entrance, which may make hotel photos appear misleading. On Saturday evening there was loud music from the terrace, although it was not audible in our fourth-floor room; higher floors may be affected more.
Street noise is to be expected due to the central location and nearby tram lines. During Carnival, noise increased significantly, with a nearby bar playing loud music until 4am on our final night. With windows open, early-morning noise from people outside and cigarette smoke from staff smoking below was also noticeable. Night-time refuse collection added further disturbance.
Overall:
The hotel is clean, comfortable, and very well located, but we would not stay again. Rooms do not have balconies, and the rooftop bar is not part of the hotel. While most nights were reasonably quiet (earplugs recommended), noise can be significant during busy periods such as Carnival. We did not use the hotel breakfast, so cannot comment on dining.
Summary:
A pleasant central hotel with good rooms, but if you want outdoor space or guaranteed quiet, particularly"
"Room had no windows to the outside just internal windows viewing the corridor and into an air duct which could be noisy.
I did request information from the hotel regarding this when it was brought to my attention however they never answered my query.
Beautiful views couldn't be enjoyed.
The staff I came into contact with were all very nice."
"Everything was good, except the view.
The bedroom was tidy and clean, we had to ask for additional pillows, but otherwise was ok.
Sadly they do not supply the safe free, you have to rent the “lock” on a daily charge of €3 with a €20 deposit, refundable when you return it on check-out.
As we like a cuppa first thing in the morning, we had to hire a kettle from the hotel as none was supplied in the room, this came with a deposit of €15 also refundable on check-out.
We received 2 cups and saucers, but no tea or coffee was supplied with the kettle, so we had to do a visit to the ‘Hyper Dino’ for tea bags when we went out.
We booked this hotel for its location in the town and would have preferred a room at the front as you would have a better view, the rest of the hotel faces high rise blocks of buildings and flats.
There is a tiny view of the sea if you can see through the gaps.
