"3rd time staying here I was really disappointed in the room. It was clean the housekeeping staff was GREAT just like the rest of the staff. Martty is a GREAT GUY. The newly rehabbed was done by a bunch of amateurs. We couldn't open patio doors because the patio screen doors didn't line up to close completely therefore we were attacked mosquitoes on a daily basis. I asked for a different room and was willing to pay for upgrade. Maybe I didn't talked to the right person."

"I loved the view of the ocean with the islands. There were nice tables and lounge chairs with an umbrella so we can relax there. Joakim & Janit were friendly and helpful. It was good to get to know them. They were eager to make the stay a good one for us. They went out of their way to help us."

"When we walked into the room; four things we noticed: 1. It smelled like mole like there was something dying in the room. I immediately told my spouse to put nothing on the bed and keep luggage outside the room. 2. Went into the bathroom, opened up the toilet lid and someone must have had a haircut because there was a clump of black hair in the toilet. I should have taken a picture, but rather I flushed it down. 3. There was a cockroach the size of a bird in the room and it looked hungry. 4. There was a large spider in a web between the two beds. It was obvious nobody has in the room to inspect or clean as that spider has been there a very long time. We decided to leave. The front desk offered another room, but if one room is that bad, others will be the same and I was concerned about potential bed bugs. I did not inspect for bedbugs, but based on what I could smell and see....this was a bad place! Avoid at all cost!"

"It is behind SM so it's very convenient. You just walk 2 minutes to SM. This is a basic hotel. They have fridge downstairs drinks beer and simple breakfast. Silog meals."
Grand Palace Hotel Butuan

"There's a new 7-11 just across the road from the hotel. But if your transaction are by the main road. The road to JC Aquino is almost inaccessible on foot as it muddy and lots of puddles. Difficult to walk around so you need taxi or tuktuk all the time."

"Clean spacious room. Good breakfast served hot. Enjoyed outdoor pool and staff are courteous. "
Takbo Beach Resort

"Location is excellent, much closer to the center than it looks in MAPs. Our room had ocean view (second floor), and it was a short walk to Tourism Road, so best of both worlds. It’s not a “resort” even though they call it that, but it was clean, the room was large, and great location."
