Very quiet place, with a good sized pool & brilliant staff. They couldn't do enough for us
Superb wifi (even down on the shoreline) helped us & our translate app greatly
Good menu choices for the included breakfast as well as snacks, drinks & meals throughout
Water pressure in the shower was average. Comfy bed, fluffy towels good air con

Excellent hotel in beautiful grounds. Food in restaurant was also very good.
The hotel is a little away from the beach and any facilities (restaurants, etc), so a car is necessary, but the staff were lovely and overall this is a great hotel.

We had the loveliest three night stay at Las Estrellas de Samara. The lodge is a 10min drive from Samara up a dusty and windy road (you will need a 4x4 to access the property). Once at the top you will be greeted by the most amazing view over Playa Samara and Playa Carrillo. The individual lodges are modern, comfortable, spacious and clean. Our hosts, Jean-Luc and Paolo, ensured throughout our stay that we had everything we needed and went as far as offering that we borrow a hammock to take with...

The place would deserve higher rating since the staff was amazing and super helpful, room was nice and bed comfortable. But the bar / restaurant had music on from early morning to late night which was disturbing as our window faced that side. Also A/C from next door room was super loud in the night and the sound did carry through the wall. We could hear the traffic from the road too. We booked room with balcony or patio but we had only window. Other than that it is a lovely convenient intimate...

Perfectly located hotel for a nice amble to the restaurants and beach of plays Carrillo.
A nice refreshing swim in the pool to cool down once back from the beach.
Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.
The amenities in the room mean you could cook dinner if you really had to!
We will be staying again.

I'm so pleased we chose to stay in Playa Carillo rather than the next bay of Samara. The beach was much more inviting without the sprawl of buildings replacing the palm trees. The hotel is new (2-3 years) but is already well established. We felt our room (304), had prime position with a corner view overlooking both the pool and bay. Our verandah was a delight to relax in. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice of hot and cold (fruit, juice, cereal, toast, eggs, pancakes, yoghurt, etc.)...

The staff were the stand out of this hotel for sure
Breakfast was ok something for everyone’s taste
The lunch and evening meal option were terrific though we had the butter chicken in the Asian restaurant which to me wasn’t a curry not quite sure what it was..
Rooms very big and comfortable

The hotel is a 15 minute drive from Samara which does mean that you have to drive or get a taxi if you want to eat in one of the restaurants. There is a restaurant at the hotel which does pleasant meals. All meals carry a 13% and 10% surcharge which can make them prices.
As it is out of town it is wonderfully peaceful and an oasis of clam with lovely private gardens tha are full of birds. It is about 50 meters from the beach and is lovely with local fishermen and families. The main town beach...
