The hotel is rather small (a very good thing for me!), but the room I had was large and the bathroom too. It was modern and very clean, with A/C. It was called Mallus and had a French door to the street which meant I had to have the blind down all the time for privacy, really the only drawback to it all. The breakfast is very good, fresh, and the manager very kind and dedicated. I highly recommend!

Beautiful property immersed in nature. The views, architecture, pool and plants were stunning. Food at the restaurant was excellent. A really unique stay.

A small bolt hole, 4 rooms as part of a working winery hidden well off the beaten track. Great staff & simple meals with local wine make it a relaxing place to stay. You can tour the vineyard and winery or simply relax by the pool but it’s definitely a place to recharge your batteries. The bed was comfortable, linen and towels good. Such a beautifully appointed accomodation, the views were exceptional. Communication was excellent and we were able to check in 1 hour early. The house itself is stunning and very clean, it smelled amazing as soon as you walked in the door. Breakfast was excellent, all very fresh and a lovely setting. The location, staff and meals were all excellent. Dinners, in particular, were a highlight. I did not like the two-storey format of the room and the bed (which was too small).

Lovely hotel. Breakfast was really nice. Pool was amazing. We were in the family room and it was very spacious with proper beds for the kids. Didn’t eat at the restaurant as it wasn’t suitable for my kids but the staff recommended other local restaurants. No bar however they serve drinks and charcuterie. Would happily stay again

Fantastic location with room and terrace overlooking the Douro. Very pleasant quiet room with comfortable beds. All very clean and run efficiently. Very good wine tour included. Breakfast was adequate but not quite the standard we would have expected from a hotel of this calibre.

What a fabulous break we have just had thanks to Manual and his team. This is a family run , small Vinyard in a stunning location. We even had a little tour of the old house which is dating back 19 generations of the family. We booked on the day while touring the area. The rooms are brand new , inside old barns and buildings. Wonderful setting looking out over the Douro Valley with brilliant care of the 16 guests by the team - led by the unique and amazing Bernardo. Huge thanks for a magical stay - it was the highlight of our trip!
