Friendly welcome on check in. The room itself was very dated but was clean. The shower was brilliant, the bed was very comfy. The area itself is quite busy but the hotel is up on a hill so away from the traffic. A 5 min walk takes you to two supermarkets and a fab Italian Bella Italia, very reasonable priced restaurant with amazing pizza 🍕
Friendly welcome on check in. The room itself was very dated but was clean. The shower was brilliant, the bed was very comfy. Stayed here for a few nights to break up a road trip. Room was clean and comfortable. Used the gym which had a reasonable range of equipment. Breakfast was nice, there was a good range of foods and included fruit.
Parking was good and easy to sort out.
2 minor downsides - 1) everything at breakfast was individually wrapped. As an international traveller the sheer quantity of plastic is odd but is not a complaint limited to this hotel. 2) We would have preferred to have walked out for...

I had no idea what to expect as my partner had chosen the hotel. She did very well. We arrived the the small town to a very curtious southern welcome. We love the accent and the manners and they love our quaint English ways.
The hotel is situated right in the middle of the town. The receptionist were were welcoming. The room very very nice clean and well presented. We particularly liked the basket breakfast. You leave the basket outside and in the morning there it is full.
