"This hotel was amazing. It didn’t feel like a regular hotel. It was like staying in a private mansion. Very beautiful, historic and well maintained home. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful with anything you asked. Lisbon and Sintra have some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. If you’ve ever wanted to stay in an old historic European manor with fairy tale charm this is your place."

"Upon checkin given room key to a room on the 3rd floor thst had no window, no terrace. The room smelled very moldy. No access to wifi. The gentleman who assisted us was very kind. We requested a room change so given 4th floor and at this level with many stairs to climb we were able to get wifi. This room had a window in bath and window in bedroom that faced other units so when they were open there was no privacy. No screens on windows so lots of black bugs came in when window was open. The woman who owns it grew up there and has so many fascinating stories to share about the house. Although it’s down a narrow gravel road, it’s easily accessible by car, Uber, and even Uber eats if you decide to order in. "Clean room, great location right next to the famous cafe of Belem. Did have to carry the luggage up some steep stairs. "
