Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy hints that will help get your Aparecida escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Next, leave space in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Choose a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
