We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and exploring Burcuta in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find room in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a cosy neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as spray paint, flares and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and remember to take a sweater in case it gets chilly in the cabin.
- It's likely you've heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and move your lower limbs often.
