We've got the lowdown on how to make your journey an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through airport security and seeing the best of Calibishie in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, make room in your hand luggage for your phone and charger, any medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to be as comfortable as you can. Opt for slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and remember to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Most travellers have heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lessen your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
