We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and enjoying Ciudad del Carmen before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Travelling on a plane can be a pleasure if you bring the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any daily medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer your clothing and go for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
