Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will get your Deuba escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive substances, such as fuel and matches, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main priority when deciding what to wear on your flight. Loose clothing is a smart option, as are roomy, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
