We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight an enjoyable experience. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and discovering Friedrichshafen in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you take the right things. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as toothpaste, a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare change of clothes and something to read. Next, find room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a Swiss Army knife lurking in one of the compartments of your carry-on luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable products, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural-fibre clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
