We've pulled together all the info you need to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and exploring La Libertad in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you've got all the right things. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good novel. Next, make room in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any daily medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a pocket knife hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 millilitres).
What to wear on a flight:
- You'll want to choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by wearing layers, and wear flat, slightly roomy footwear like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to wander around the cabin or do some simple exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
